Her postdoctoralresearch at the Universityof Newcastle andthe University ofGlasgow focused on the development of new biosensor principles. She worked as a Lecturer and later EPSRC Advanced Research Fellow at the Chemistry Department of Sheffield University from 1997 to 2004 and then moved to the Materials Department at Queen MaryUniversity of London. Her research interest is in impedance and potential imaging of thin films and biological samples using Light-Addressable Potentiometric Sensors and the development of enzyme detectors for medical applications.
