Office of International Affairs of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology Came to QMES for Investigation

On the afternoon of March 9th, 2021, a group of 4 people including Deputy Director Wang Chunmei and Section Chief Lu Jiameng of Office of International Affairs of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, as well as Vice Dean Zhang Haihan and Professor Wang Ru of School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering came to QMES for investigation.Fan Xiaoli and Cheng Yin, Vice Deans of QMES, received the guests in the 413 Conference Room of the School, while the relevant staff of QMES attended this meeting.

On behalf of QMES, Fan Xiaoli extended a warm welcome to Wang Chunmei and her delegation. Meanwhile, Wang Chunmei expressed her gratitude for the reception of QMES, and stated that the main content of this investigation was the application of the dual-degree postgraduate program. In response, Fan Xiaoli introduced in detail the application background, application process and current progress of the dual-degree postgraduate program, and Qi Yue gave a supplementary explanation on the application process. After that, both sides exchanged views on enrollment plan, construction of teaching staff, and master’s training program, mainly focusing on the aspects of time for overseas exchange, requirements for graduation thesis, evaluation of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools, etc.

Fan Xiaoli said that QMES and South Australia An De College of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology were close in founding time and adjacent in geographical location, and bothSino-foreign cooperative educational institutions have been exchanging with each other and learning from each other for a long time. What’s more, Wang Chunmei said that in recent years, QMES has accumulated rich practical experience in the field of international talent training as well as the management and development of institutions, which is worth their reference and learning. It is hoped that the two institutions can carry out more substantive exchanges and cooperation in the future.
