QMES Held a Teach-in on the NPU Policy of Students Leaving Campus and Returning Home During the Winter Vacation of 2022

As the new year arrived and the winter vacation was approaching, the epidemic situation of Xi’an entered the final stage.According to the “Arrangement Scheme of Winter Vacation for the Colleges and Secondary Technical Schools of Xi’an” and the “NPU Work Plan for Students Leaving and Staying at School During the Winter Vacation of 2022”, QMES held a teach-infor students on the evening of January 21, 2022, in order to strengthen students’ safety awareness and ensure a safe and fulfilling holiday.All the members of QMES leading group and almost 920 QMES students attended this teach-in, which was presided over by Vice Dean Cheng Yin.

First of all, on the basis of the instructions on students returning home during the winter vacation, Cheng Yin introduced the knowledge related to epidemic prevention to the students.She reminded the students to enhance their awareness of epidemic prevention, learn necessary skills on epidemic prevention, and form good habits, such as washing hands frequently, paying attention to personal hygiene, and maintaining a regular schedule. Besides, she advised that we should go out less, take the initiative to isolate at home, go out with masks, ensure enough sleeping time and keep reasonable diet so as to balance nutrition and enhance immunity.Afterwards, all the teachers and students watched the video of personal prevention of COVID-19 produced by the NPU Hospital and learned in-depth the correct epidemic prevention methods from four aspects, namely “Seven-step Hand-washing Method”, “Correctly Wearing and Disposing of masks”, “Peeling off and Disposing of Latex Gloves” and “Daily Disinfection and Sterilization”.

Next, Dai Fuping, Party Secretary of QMES, made a mobilization speech.He conveyed the important instructions of the NPU leaders on resolutely winning the battle of epidemic prevention and control and ensuring the safe return of students, and briefly introduced the work arrangements and notices related to students leaving campus.He pointed out that NPU had made thorough deployment and great efforts to ensure the smooth return of students to their hometowns.He hoped that the students would strengthen their self-discipline awareness, consciously implement the policies of epidemic prevention and control of their hometown and NPU, and take good care of themselves during the winter vacation.At the same time, he asked the studentswho stayed at campus to abide by the relevant requirements of NPU, and reminded the students to prepare enough supplies at school and make full preparation for online learning. In the end, he encouraged everyone to work together to achieve the final victory of this “battle” as soon as possible.

Finally, Dean Kong Jie made a concluding remark.Heextended his greetings and gratitude to all the teacher and student volunteers who worked tirelessly and selflessly in the work of epidemic prevention and control on campus, and also affirmed the contribution of the students who actively cooperated with the school’s epidemic prevention and control work.In addition, he stressed that students should treat this pandemic rationally, actively learn about the relevant information, scientific knowledge and measures on epidemic prevention and control through official channels, stay sober and determined at all times.At last, on the eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year, Dean Kong sent his greetings to all the teachers and students of QMES, looking forward to the end of the epidemic and the reunion in the new semester.
