NPU Went to the University of Nottingham Ningbo China for Investigation
On November 11th, led by Dean Jie Kong and Vice Dean Xiaoli Fan, JEI relevant staff went to the University of Nottingham Ningbo China for investigation. Staff from International College and Recruitment Office of NPU also joined the investigation.
Ping Cui, Vice President of the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China made a specific introduction towards the history, schools, disciplines, scientific research, recruitment and teaching quality of the university. Hongbo Dong, Deputy Secretary of the University's Party Committee introduced party construction, teaching mode, students management system and practice of modern university management system.
Jie Kong introduced the investigation content while Xiaoli Fan explained the basic information of JEI. During the meeting, staff from International College and Recruitment Office of both sides discussed deepely on recruitment affairs, teaching affairs, teachers evaluation mechanism and students management system. Afterwards, they paid a visit to teaching buildings, library, students activity center, innovation and entrepreneurship industry park, lecture hall, and etc.
In the afternoon, the group was invited to attend Graduation Ceremony of the 2017 Postgraduate ofthe University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
The investigation inspired us to come up with new ideas on promoting international teaching ability and changing international cultivation mode. Founded in 2004, the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China is the first Sino-Foreign cooperative university approved by the Ministration of Education. The class are taught all in English and tutorial systemhas been generalized. Up till now, there are 7800 students including 750 international students from more than 70 countries and districts.
