Deputy Director Zhou Aijun of Higher Education Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Education Visited QMES

On April 19th morning, Deputy Director Zhou Aijun of Higher Education Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Education (HEEC) visited QMES with Vice President Wan Xiaopeng of NPU. Accompanied by Dean Kong Jie, Executive Vice Dean Andy Bushby, and Vice Dean Fan Xiaoli, Deputy Director Zhou Aijun visited the innovation laboratory, internet-smart classroom, common room, cultural construction, textbook exhibition area and briefly listened to the working report of QMES.

Deputy Director Zhou Aijun was deeply impressed by QMES education concept of "student-centered, education-rooted", advanced full-English teaching mode, outstanding international teachers and the harmonious cultural atmosphere integrating both Chinese and British features. He pointed out that Sino-foreign cooperative education mode of QMES contributed to the internationalization of talent cultivation. QMES should continuously improves teaching quality, explores new models of high-level international talent cultivation, develops innovative talents with profession, comprehensive quality and an international vision.

As the first Sino-foreign cooperative education institution in Northwest China, QMES is one of the important achievements of the Third People-to-People Exchange Dialogue between China and the United Kingdom. QMES would listen to suggestions and opinions with an open mind. QMES would target at the world’s scientific and technological frontier to develop high-quality talents and give full play to Sino-foreign cooperative education.
