QMES Held the New Term Undergraduates Class Meeting

玛丽女王工程学院召开新学期本科生大班会

3月1日，玛丽女王工程学院2017级及2018级全体学生先后于长安校区教学西楼D座101召开2018-2019学年春季学期本科生大班会，以迎接新学期的到来，使同学们在寒假结束后尽快进入学习状态。玛丽女王工程学院副院长陈俊、学生事务办公室主任陈琛、辅导员王兵参加此次大班会。

陈琛就加强学风建设、宿舍安全和提防“校园贷”等方面对学生提出要求，并组织全体学生观看了中央电视台一套《今日说法》栏目播出的《巨额欠条》专题教育片，以增强学生对各种形式的校园贷、套路贷的防范意识。

随后，王兵在强调注重大家注重人身安全和财产安全的同时，要将学习放在首位，并通过校园文化活动锻炼能力。对于需要补考的同学，王兵要求要认真复习，严于律己，专心向学，在新学期取得更好成绩。

根据学院学生事务办公室开学摸排和调研情况，陈俊对不同年级、不同阶段学生分别进行个人发展规划引导。陈俊针对2018级学生的特点，要求大家在大一阶段要打好学习基础，特别是英语基础，跟上全英文教学的节奏，充分利用两校优质资源，为后续发展积蓄力量。针对2019年寒假学生国际交流情况和新学期对2017级学生毕业意向调查统计情况，陈俊分享了澳大利亚和美国著名高校对国际学生的学业和学术要求，鼓励大家树立明确目标，向世界名校冲击，并表示学院将在春季学期开展丰富多彩的生涯辅导活动，助力学生的国际化发展。

On March 1, 2017 and 2018 cohort of students of QMES held the spring term undergraduates class meeting of the 2018-2019 academic year in order at Room 101, West Teaching Building D, Chang'an Campus. Chen Jun,ViceDean of QMES, Chen Chen, Director of Student Affairs Office, and Counselor Wang Bing attended the class meeting.

Chen Chen required students to strengthen the school tradition construction, dormitory safety and guard against "campus loan", and organized all students to watch CCTV special educational films in order to enhance students' awareness of prevention.

Subsequently, Wang Bing emphasized that students should pay attention to personal safety and property safety.At the same time, they should also put study in the first place, and exercise ability through campus cultural activities. For those students who need to resit, Wang Bing asked them to review carefully and get better results in the new semester.

According to the opening term survey of Student Affairs Office, Chen Jun guided the students of different grades and different stages in their personal development planning. According to the characteristics of the 2018 cohort of students, Chen Jun asked them to lay a good foundation of learning, especially in English, keep up with the rhythm of English immersion methodology, and make full use of the high-quality resources of two universities. According to the international exchange situation of students during 2019 winter vacation and the graduation intention survey and statistics of the 2017 cohort of students in the new semester, Chen Jun shared the academic requirements of famous universities in Australia and the United States for international students, encouraged everyone to set clear goals and impact on world famous schools. He said that QMES would carry outdiversecareer counseling activities in the spring semester topromotestudents’internationaldevelopment.
