As the freshmen of NPU, students of QM021903 of QMES fought against the epidemic with sincerity and love in a unique way, which reflected the efforts and responsibilities of the current Chinese youth.

Responsibility is the Foundation of Youth

Because of the epidemic, this extra-long winter vacation has blocked the students of QM021903 from all parts of the country.No matter where they are, they have a common pursuit: to take responsibility as the foundation of youth.

Qu Yifan is the monitor of class QM021903.During the epidemic, she worked with the Jiuxianyin Art Troupe and other students to record the sign language MV of the song “Ordinary Angel”.She hoped that she could use her specialty and the power of art to convey warmth and pay tribute to all the front line staff who are selflessly fighting against the epidemic.

During the epidemic, Li Liangchen joined a social practice team to analyze the governance capacity of the government in dealing with public emergencies through the impact of the epidemic upon life of the people in various provinces.He investigated the anti-epidemic measures taken by the provincial government and learned the residents’ satisfaction with the work done.He hoped that through this practice, he would probe into the medical public emergency management system of China and contribute to the society while exercising his own ability.

During the epidemic, Fu Wendi, from Wuhan city, Hubei Province, deeply felt the impact of the COVID-19 on people and wanted to make her own contributions to the epidemic prevention.On February 4, she received an invitation from NPU radio station to participate in the poem recitation with music to combat the epidemic. Since then, she had also participated in a number of publicity activities to fight against the epidemic.

Wen Jiyuan is a publicity secretary of class QM021903.During the epidemic, she actively spread positive energy and organized classmates to participate in various essay-writing activities.She hoped to let the students discover the beauty behind the epidemic through writing.At the same time, she also made minutes for class meetings, designed class posters, and wrote news reports for publicity. She is willing to write down the contributions of her classmates in fighting against the epidemic.

During the epidemic, You Ruiyang carefully recorded the anti-epidemic actions of the student volunteers.He firstly interviewed his high school classmate working in the front line through social networking software. Then he went to the checkpoints and delivered supplies to cheer up the volunteers.He recorded and promoted the story of his classmate, hoping to offer people a better understanding of the volunteer service and pass on the spirit of selfless dedication of the volunteers to everyone around him.

The organization secretary, Liu Yichen proposed that everyone in the class should play a part in making a short video on epidemic prevention.The students responded actively and presented themselves in the video, cheering for Wuhan and China.After receiving the videos from his classmates, Liu Yichen stayed up late and worked overtime to edit them together.

Love adorns the color of the youth

As a league secretary, Li Liangchen was very concerned about the health of all the classmates during the epidemic. He held many online League meetings and special League Day activities.

Zhai Minzi is the psychological secretary of class QM021903.The epidemic caused instability of the mood of the students. Zhai Minzi actively looked into the psychological state of her classmates in her daily life. By releasing psychological lecture information, encouraging students to participate in anti-epidemic knowledge activities, through consultation and deep concern, she reduced the psychological pressure of the students, so that they could face the epidemic with a positive and optimistic attitude.

After learning about the volunteer services of other students, Wen Jiyuan became a local volunteer to provide service for the residents.She also expressed her sympathy and thanks to the community workers.

Qu Yifan, monitor of the class tried her best to make contribution.She learned that during the epidemic, the senior high school students of Guangxi Rongshui Middle School could not start classes because of the outdated teaching facilities. She took part in the online teaching support program the first time.Preparing for lessons, taking notes, online teaching and mentoring, she was extremely patient and hoped to accompany them till the entrance examination.

Moreover, five girls of class QM021903, Fu Wendi, Hu Zhixuan, Qu Yifan, Wen Jiyuan and Zhai Minzi, actively answered the call of the university and joined the practice team during the epidemic.They decided to help the primary and secondary school students in Wuhan with their difficulties in study and offered them psychological counseling, hoping to help them get through the difficult time.

Besides making contribution to the society, students of QM021903 also offered filial piety to their parents and the elderly.When Gui Fengqing returned to his home in Weifang in the winter holiday, he was worried that the elderly relatives living in the countryside were not conscious of the epidemic prevention. And he took them to his home in urban area for quarantine together.

As freshmen of NPU, students of class QM021903 deeply know that they must attach great importance to their study. They also know that they should not only learn professional knowledge, but also learn anti-epidemic spirit and set up lofty ideals.

Ru Yifan is the study secretary of class QM021903.He is always concerned about students’ learning conditions and is eager to help students who lag behind.When students have questions, he will answer them actively and patiently.He also strives to be an example and lead the students to overcome difficulties together.

Hu Zhixuan suggested that students should take notes while listening to the courses.The typical examples and emphases given by teachers should be noted down in details according to our own needs.Listening to classes and taking notes at the same time will also make us more attentive. And we should keep away from mobile phones during class.

Li Ruijie said that we should make our own daily schedules.One of the apparent benefits of schedule is regularity. He will keep a time diary and tick each items once he completes.

Gui Fengqing suggested that students should interact with teachers to stay more focused. Online teaching is different from classroom teaching. To promote interaction with teachers can not only improve your attentiveness, but also make known your progress to the teachers so as to adjust the speed of the class.
