QMES Organized the New Principals of the Student Association for Collective Learning

On June 1, 2021, the collective learning seminar for the main cadres of the student associations of QMES was successfully held in Conference Room 413 of the school.Eight major student leaders, including leaders from Student Baby Power Hip Hop Club, Ao’xiang Student Debate Club, and Student Spirit Breath Harmonica Club, attended this seminar, which was presided over by Mr. Huang Quanzhang of the Working Committee of the Communist Youth League of QMES.

Recently, all associations have successfully completed the re-election of the main student leaders from different associations.In order to strengthen the management and guidance of these associations, the Working Committee of the Communist Youth League of QMES has organized the meeting for the new principals of the associations to let them learn collectively.First of all, the student leaders of the various associations introduced themselves and exchanged speeches, which has strengthened the mutual understanding among various associations so as to facilitate the further cooperation and exchanges among these various student associations.

Collective learning was divided into two parts, the first part is theoretical learning.Huang Quanzhang led them to learn the spirit of the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his visit to Tsinghua University, emphasizing that the contemporary youth of China is a generation that is moving forward together with the new era.In accordance with the requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the youth of the mass associations should consciously establish and practice the core socialist values, and consciously use the excellent traditional Chinese culture, revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture to enlighten their minds and inspire their wisdom.At the same time, they also need to strengthen moral cultivation, distinguish right from wrong, improve their own abilities, and pursue a more advanced, sophisticated and elegant life.

The second part is institutional learning.Huang Quanzhang led everyone to study theMeasures for the Administration of Student Associations of NPU.He pointed out that all associations should follow theMeasures for the Administration of Student Associations of NPUto improve the articles of their associations and carry out activities in strict accordance with the articles. In line with the concept of serving the general students, they should innovate the form of association activities, constantly enhance the attractiveness and appeal of association activities, and give full play to the function of ideological and political education of student associations.At the same time, he also asked the leaders of various associations to study the system documents by themselves in their spare time, includingMeasures for the Administration of New Media of NPU under the Communist Youth League,Administrative Measures for Star Rating and Level Determination of Student Associations of NPU,Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Financial Management of Student Associations of NPU,Management System of Student Activity Venue of the Committee of NPU of the Communist Youth League,andMeasures for the Implementation of the “Crowd-creation, Crowd-funding and Crowd-evaluation” System for School-level Activities of Student Associations (Trial) of NPU.The student leaders of the associations stated that they would grasp the overall situation of their associations as soon as possible, especially to standardize the management of new-media platforms in accordance with theMeasures for the Administration of New Media of NPU under the Communist Youth Leagueto ensure that the articles issued are legal and compliant, correct and positive, and rich in content.In addition, he also suggested that all associations should carry out their work according to theAdministrative Measures for Star Rating and Level Determination of Student Associations of NPUand actively create five-star associations.

The collective study and discussion of the associations has promoted the new leaders of the associations to unify their understanding of the work of the associations and to learn about the management methods of the associations, strengthened the communication between the associations, and laid a good foundation for the solid work of the student associations.
