QMES Held an Operational Meeting on Teaching Affairs

On November 30, 2021, QMES held the third regular teaching meeting of this semester. Dean Kong Jie, Party Secretary Dai Fuping, Executive Vice Dean Andy Bushby, Vice Dean Fan Xiaoli, Vice Dean Cheng Yin, Andrew Spowage, Director of industrial development; Director of quality assurance, Maria Romero-Gonzalez, Principal of Teaching and Development Office, and Gabriel Cavalli, Director of International Centre for Teaching and Learning, etc., attended this meeting.

Kong Jie first expressed his gratitude to all staff attending this meeting, introduced Professor Dai Fuping, the new Party Secretary and Vice Dean of QMES, and extended a warm welcome to Dai Fuping for joining QMES. Afterwards, Andy Bushby summarized the recent work of QMUL side, especially mentioned that the recent IoM3professional accreditation was a review and affirmation of the development of QMES in recent years, and expressed that he was very happy to meet over 20 graduates of 2021 studying in the UK attend the Ceremony of Materials 50 of QMES at their alma mater in London.

Subsequently, both sides conducted efficient discussions on the various tasks in the 2022-2023 academic year of QMES, including the revision of the double master degree programme recruitment plan, the revision of the undergraduate education plan, the planning of the new programme for ICTL (International Centre for Teaching and Learning), the plan of alumni supporting system, the planning and arrangement of summer school of 2019 and 2020 cohorts, and the support of students’ innovation and entrepreneurship programme, etc. Both sides will spare no effort to seek more opportunities for shared teachingand improve teaching ability. The operational meeting is the regular meeting of QMES to discuss the daily teaching and operation affairs of itself, which aims to strengthen the communication and exchange of daily work in the post epidemic era and to provide strong support for the development of the school.
