QMES teachers won the awards again

Andrew Spowage won the Faculty Award for Internationalisation for his role in delivering world class transnational education using on-line teaching for all of our students in the Queen Mary Engineering School in Xian, China as well as for his tremendous effort in securing accreditation from the IOM3 for the first time for all of our Materials programmes in China as well as a reaccreditation of the programmes delivered in London. Andrew teaches the technical core modules in QMES. As a member of IOM3 accreditation panel, he introduced the experience including the procedure, paper work and key details to QMES and SEMS so as to make sure the accreditation and reaccreditation run smoothly.

Faith Nightingale has been awarded a Gold Community Teaching Award from Swansea University English Language Training Services after completing over 25 hours of volunteer teaching as well as undergoing observations and reflective practice. Faith has been a volunteer teacher for the past 18 months, ensuring adults in the community have had access to free, beginner English classes during the pandemic. As the classes have been conducted online, they have reached people both in the UK and abroad who want to improve their general English skills. Faith is the first person to complete and be awarded the Community Teaching Award.
