QMES has been Successively Elected the Third Chairman Unit of CJIC

Recently, adhering to the principles of openness, fairness and impartiality, the secretariat of Chinese-foreign Joint Institutes Committee (CJIC) organized an election for the Third Chairman Units. Finally, all the member units voted to elect 20 chairman units, and QMES gloriously gained office as one chairman unit of CJIC once again.

Since its establishment in August 2014, under the guidance of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, CJIC has developed 173 member units over the past eight years, and its social attraction and influence continue to rise, playing an important leading role in the standardized, sound, orderly and sustainable development of Sino-foreign cooperative education in China.

As one of the Second Chairman Units of CJIC, QMES earnestly performed its duties during its tenure in 2018-2022, actively supported and cooperated with CJIC, and hosted the Seventh Conference on Chinese-foreign Joint Institutes Committee and the Conference on Policy and Experience Exchange of Sino-foreign Cooperative Education in Northwest Area in September 2019. QMES adheres to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, diligently studies and implements the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, and sticks to the socialist school-running direction. Meanwhile, it also bears the fundamental task of building morality and cultivating talents in mind, carries forward the Party’s education policy, follows the laws of higher education, servers “The Belt and Road Initiative”, and makes full use of high-quality education resources of NPU and QMUL.

Up to now, QMES has witnessed remarkable achievements in talent cultivation for its 2021 and 2022 graduates by upholding the goal of improving students’ political discrimination, learning initiative, innovation creativity and global competence, and providing high-quality and international undergraduate education.

During the new tenure of the Third Chairman Units of CJIC, QMES will continue to improve the level of teaching and education, and adhere to its talents cultivation mission: developing globalized leading talents who can learn and work transnationally with solid foundation in natural science, professional knowledge and humanities, comprehensive qualities, high professional competence, global horizons, life-long learning abilities and recognition to international rules. All in all, QMES will spare no efforts to build itself into a distinctive Sino-foreign cooperative institution with advanced educational and teaching concepts and gathered by excellent teachers at home and abroad, and strive to explore an international talent training path that not only embodies NPU’s characteristics and outstanding professional advantages, conforms to the overall development strategy of NPU, but also meets the needs of economic and social development of the country and the region.
