QMES Held the Thematic League Day Activity Successfully

The Report of the 20th CPC National Congress puts forward significant requirements for the youth to "strive to be good young people of the new era who has lofty ideals, dare to shoulder responsibilities, and work hard", which fully reflects the Party's warm care and ardent expectations for the young generations, and clarifies the path to their healthy growth. On March 19, 2022, the Youth League branch of QM022201 of the class of 2022, together with the Youth League branch of QM012206, held a unique League Day activity with the theme of "Young People Implement the Spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress" at Qizhen Community, Hatianyuan, to further guide, unite and serve the youth, which also stimulated young people to fulfil their original aspirations and bravely carry out the mission of the times. The activity was presided over by Yang Liu, League Branch Secretary of the class in the polymer major of the class of 2022.

The activity is divided into three parts. In the first part, thanks to the organization of the League branch secretaries of the two classes, the students talked about the impressive experience of students who implemented the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress in daily life based on reality, and discussed the various approaches to practice the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress. Gao Wei, from Class 6 of Materials Science and Engineering, delivered a wonderful speech which contained a detailed discussion on how to practice the spirit from four aspects of "firming faith, serving the country, honing skills, and bravely shouldering duties", which contributed to the students’ more profound understanding of the meaning of "Young People Implement the Spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress".

In the second part of the activity, the students watched the red film Look at Chinese Youth Today, and The 20th CPC National Congress | Let Youth Fully Blossom. From the films, everyone can feel the spirit of the times that Chinese youth have ideals, dare to take responsibility, can bear hardships and are willing to struggle. After watching the movies, the students expressed their feelings, and thought about how to carry forward the spirit in their own lives. Liang Haozhe said, "The great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation shows the long-standing history. In recent years, we often see such statements in history and political books that our ancestors not only basked in the glory of the Han and Tang Dynasties, but also spread the seeds of civilization all over the world. Now, the development of our motherland is exerting an increasing influence on the world. I believe that with the joint efforts of all of us, the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation will be realized in this generation. I look forward to that day!"

The third part of the activity is the on-site signature. After the discussion, the students began to make banners on which each student signed his name and wrote down a specific action on how to carry out the spirit. It is hoped that in the future, the students can encourage each other to fulfil their promises and progress together. Finally, under the leadership of the League secretaries of the two classes, the students took a collective oath to serve the motherland and deliver a victory for the motherland. Then, the League Day activities officially came to an end.

This activity strengthened the communication and understanding between students, and helped everyone realize that the Communist Youth League not only is a title, or a symbol of honour, but also means a significant responsibility. The Communist Youth League is not only the reserve force of the Communist Party, but also the main force for the Chinese nation. In the future, the students should take concrete actions to achieve the commitment of making due contribution to building a strong country, and pool the strength to realize the second centenary goal and realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
