The Publicity Team of NPU Was Invited to Promote the Spirit of 20th National Congress—Learning the Spirit of 20th National Congress Documentary for QM012101 Youth League Branch of QMES

Criticism and self-criticism are the excellent traditions of CPC. They are also the key to enhance the combat effectiveness and maintain the unity of the party. To further understand the connotation of “criticism and self-criticism”, on March 26, 2023, the student union of QMES invited the publicity team of NPU to give a lecture “From Yan’an Rectification Movement to Self-Revolution—Maintaining the Vitality of the Party in Criticism and Self-criticism”. Huang Quanzhang, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of QMES, all members of QM012101 Youth League Branch, and some student cadres participated in this lecture.

First, Zhang Wenyi, a member of the publicity team, led students to review the history of the development of CPC. In order to make students further understand and grasp the scientific connotation of the self-revolution of CPC, Zhang Wenyi led students to review Yan’an Rectification Movement launched by Mao Zedong in 1941 and Xi Jinping’s View about How the CPC Gets out of the Important Discourse of Historical Periodic Rate in the report of the 20^th National Congress of CPC in 2022. Subsequently, Zhang Wenyi combined with Mao Zedong’s report “Reform Our Study” and other contents to introduce the important role of self-revolution in maintaining the purity of the party. Finally, Zhang Wenyi concluded that not being afraid of sacrifice is a vivid interpretation of the self-revolution spirit of CPC, and the courage to conduct self-revolution is the powerful internal driving force of the CPC.

The lecture called on students to persist in inheriting the spirit of self-revolution, draw wisdom and nutrition from the century-old history of CPC, make good use of criticism and self-criticism, and make new achievements and fruitful results in self-purification, self-improvement and self-renewal. Students stated that they would actively use the weapon of criticism and self-criticism, draw on the party’s experience and practice in fighting against erroneous ideas in the spirit of self-revolution at major historical junctures. They would also deeply analyze the issues of ideals and beliefs, world outlook, outlook on life.
