The Student Union of QMES Held a Special Meeting on Learning the“Reform of the Student Union of the All-China Students’ Federation”
On November 1st ,2021, in order to constantly promote the reform of the student union and strengthen the education of the tenet, awareness and regulations of the student union members, the Student Union of QMES organized a special meeting on learning the “Reform of the Student Union of the All-China Students’ Federation” in the Room 413 of the East Teaching Building A. This meeting realized the full participation in learning the document of “the Reform of the Student Union of the All-China Students’ Federation” through massed and distributed learning modes. The presidium members and other members of the Student Union of QMES attended this meeting.
First of all, the executive chairman Hai Yingchao guided the students to learn the Opinions of Promoting the Deepening Reform of University Student Unions (Graduate Student Unions) and the Regulations on Staff of the Student Union of the All-China Students’ Federation to Improve the Work Style and the Ability of Serve Students. He pointed out that the Student Union must bear in mind the purpose of serving students wholeheartedly. Under the leadership of the Party and the Communist Youth League Committee, the Student Union should clarify its working goals, focus on the needs of students, innovate management methods, take the students' satisfaction as a top priority and combine the negative cases with warning education. It is expected that the Student Union should abide by the rules and regulations, remain committed to the original mission, get rid of vulgar habits and promote the reform of the organization with one heart.
Then, on behalf of all the volunteers of the Student Union, Jiang Runpeng from the Student Affairs Office shared the experience on learning the document of “Reform of the Student Union of the All-China Students’ Federation”, and noted that the reform required relentless efforts.
Finally, members of each department shared their insights on this learning meeting and summarized the work of the Student Union since this semester.
This special learning meeting strengthened the understandings of QMES Student Union’s members on the reform requirements for university student unions, improved their ideological level and ability, and encouraged them to constantly make self-improvement, better serve students and jointly write a new chapter for the student work of QMES.
