The Activity of “Writing for the Dragon Boat Festival” Came to a Successful Conclusion

In order to guide the majority of young students to appreciate the cultural charm of the traditional Dragon Boat Festival, inherit the patriotism spirit and humanistic spirit, enhance cultural confidence and national pride,and bring new charm to traditional festivals, the activity of“Writing for the Dragon Boat Festival”sponsored by the Youth League Committee of NPU and undertaken by the Student Union of QMES was carried out smoothly during the Dragon Boat Festival in 2022.All the students actively participated in this activity and contributed themselves enthusiastically.

In the end, after fierce competition, 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes and 2 Third Prizes were selected in this event.Among them, the Fan Work of Chen Kejia, an undergraduate in grade 2020 of QMES, was highly praised by the judges and won the First Prize.

The work of Sun Feiran, an undergraduate in grade 2019 of QMES, and the work of Jiang Sicheng, a student in grade 2019, won the Second Prizes.The work of Chen Junkang, a student in grade 2020, and the work of Kan Junpeng, a student in grade 2021, won the Third Prizes.

Cultural confidence is the most basic, profound and lasting force in the development of a country and a nation.Chinese traditional festivals are usually rooted in the farming civilization of the Chinese nation for thousands of years. In the long-term development, they have formed a unique expression and cultural connotation, which can reflect our people’s yearning and pursuit for a better life.This is an important part of the excellent Chinese traditional culture and an important way to enhance national cohesion.After the competition, all the students expressed a deeper understanding of the historical origin and cultural connotation of the Dragon Boat Festival.At the same time, this form of activity can also further spread Chinese traditional culture, improve students’ self-literacy, enrich everyone’s cultural life after studying, and constantly transmit positive energy.

Under the background of extensive global cultural exchanges, QMES will further play the leading role of Party building, continue to guide students to tell the stories of NPU and China, actively spread the excellent Chinese traditional culture, and continuously improve the effectiveness of Ideological and Political Education.
