QMES Held Sports Meeting for Freshmen

On October 23, 2022, QMES held a sports meeting at Xingtianyuan Basketball Court, Chang’an Campus in time of frost descendings. Dai Fuping, Secretary of the Party Committee of QMES, Cheng Yin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of QMES, Yuan Menglei, counselor of 2022 and freshmen of 2022 participated in this sports meeting.

The sports meeting included team competition and individual competition. The team event was tug of war, and individual events included shooting from free throw line and rope skipping, which were divided into two groups: boys and girls.

First of all, the team competition, tug of war, was carried out. Twelve class teams conducted group matches, fought in pairs, and winners entered the knockout stage. The six teams in the knockout match were divided into three groups to compete in pairs, and winners entered the final. In the end, Class QM012201 won the tug of war championship.

Then the two-minute free throw line shooting and self snatching competition were held. Students displayed great tenacity and enthusiasm in every jump, every shot, and every breakthrough throughout the contest. Inspired by students, Secretary Dai Fuping and Deputy Secretary Cheng Yin of QMES joined them. They interacted with students, which greatly increased the enthusiasm of students to participate in the activity.

The next rope skipping contest was more competitive. One minute would represent unlimited possibilities for contestants. As the saying that a minute on the stage bases on ten years’ hard work. The completion of every movement was an affirmation of their sweat.

The sports meeting has promoted mutual understanding of students, enhanced the cohesion between the class, which not only enriched the campus cultural life of students, but also demonstrated the vitality and competitive enthusiasm of college students in the new era, creating an atmosphere of unity, friendship, struggle and harmony for QMES. It is believed that all the freshmen of QMES will work hard, forge ahead, dare to realize their dreams and create their own future!
