QMES Carried out Thematic Educational Activities in Zhaojin
From May 14th to 15th, the leaders of QMES led the faculty representatives to Zhaojin, Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province, to carry out the educational activities themed “Learning, Thinking, Practicing, Promoting Action with Knowledge”, commemorating the revolutionary elder generation and carrying forward the Zhaojin Spirit, so as to further study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The activities combined practical learning with special guidance, theoretical learning with education on the history of revolution, and general principles with the reality of the school, which innovated learning forms, enriched activity carriers, and ensured that the thematic education was deeply rooted in the mind and profoundly spread in reality.
The school leaders and staff representatives came to Zhaojin Memorial Hall at the revolutionary base in the Shaanxi-Gansu border to recall the proletarian revolutionaries of older generation who founded the Zhaojin revolutionary base with great efforts. In front of the statues of the three revolutionaries, namely, Liu Zhidan, Xie Zichang and Xi Zhongxun, Dai Fuping, Secretary of QMES Party Committee, led all the Party members to review the oath of joining the Party. The teachers also experienced the strong revolutionary morale and immortal fighting spirit of the Red Army, consisting of Chinese Workers and Peasants, in the difficult environment of Xuejiazhai Revolutionary Site.
In addition, QMES specially invited Li Qian, Associate Professor of the CPC Party School of Tongchuan Municipal Committee, to give a special lecture. It was beneficial to deeply understanding the historical background, scientific system, world outlook, methodology and the essence of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and improving theoretical guidance.
The leaders of the school also held an expanded meeting of the Theoretical Learning Center Group in Zhaojin. Dai Fuping, Secretary of the QMES Party Committee, and Cheng Yin, Deputy Secretary of the QMES Party Committee, led the participants to study the first volume of Selected Works and Extracts of Xi Jinping, Discussion on Investigation and Research Conducted by Xi Jinping, etc. Based on the study of the original works and the content of the lecture, the participants carried out discussions in connection with the practical research and their personal perceptions.
The value of knowledge lies in practice. Thanks to the activities, everyone expressed that they would deeply implement the thematic education, inherit and carry forward the fine tradition of the older generation in revolution, understand the great power of thought in daily work and move forward bravely, effectively transforming the thematic education into a strong driving force to promote the high-quality development of Sino-foreign cooperative education.
