Members of QMES Party Branch Learnt the Spirit of NPU Summer Seminar & Cadre’s Meeting for the New Term
On the morning of Sep.5th, the Party Branch of QMES convened a meeting for party members to study the spirit of NPU summer seminar & cadre’s meeting for the new term in meeting room 413 of East Teaching Building A in Chang’an Campus. All members of QMES Party Branch attended the meeting which was hosted by QMES Party Branch Secretary Kong Jie.
During the meeting, Kong Jie led all party members to learn the main ideas ofGuidance of Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance and National Development and Reform Commission on Accelerating the Construction of Double First-Class Institutions of Higher Learning, Wang Jinsong’s Speech on the Spirit of NPU Summer Seminar & Cadre’s Meeting for the New Term,andHuang Wei’s Report on NPU’s Discipline Construction, etc.
Kong Jie pointed out that the Party Branch should implement the Party’s educational policy in an all-round way, which means to fit the intensive development mode of higher education into all educational work with the goal of establishing world-class higher education with Chinese characteristics.
He also said that great efforts should be made to advance system innovation, fully strengthen the Party’s leadership and construction, and focus on undergraduate’s cultivation system. In a word, he appealed all the staff to engage in NPU’s aim of becoming a Double First-Class Institution in a comprehensive, extensive and multi-level way.
Then all the party members had a brainstorming discussion with a focus on how to adjust and develop disciplines, and how to promote NPU’s “Double First-Class” construction. All members agreed that they shouldfollow theGuidance of Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance and National Development and Reform Commission on Accelerating the Construction of Double First-Class Institutions of Higher Learning, and try best to make NPU a world-famous university with Chinese characteristics by innovating the Sino-foreign schooling philosophy with cultivating multiple types of qualified talents as the basis and center.
