QMES Successfully Held the Launch Ceremony of the Special Anti-epidemic Social Practice — “Being Volunteer Teachers Online”

In order to fully implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on epidemic prevention and control, earnestly carry out the spirit of relevant documents, and actively respond to the relevant work arrangements of the Youth League Committee of NPU, QMES successfully held the online launch ceremony of the special anti-epidemic social practiceBeing Volunteer Teachers Online on January 20, 2022. Liu Xiaobin, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Chairman of the Labor Union of Shaanxi Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine; Kong Jie, Dean of QMES; Dai Fuping, Party Secretary of QMES; Cheng Yin, Vice Dean of QMES; Huang Quanzhang, Secretary of Youth League Committee of QMES; and all the members of the online teaching practice team attended this meeting. The launch ceremony was presided over by Vice Dean Cheng Yin.

First of all, Gong Yujiu, the leader of the teaching practice team, introduced the specific workflow and requirements of this online teaching work. Fang Jiarong, the representative of the teaching team, shared her experience and harvest in voluntary service works, and encouraged all the volunteers to make teaching plans and strive to complete the teaching work with high quality, so as to get exercise and growth through this special social practice.

Then, Liu Xiaobin, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Chairman of the Labor Union of Shaanxi Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine, introduced this hospital’s role and working conditions in the anti-epidemic front-line work of Xi’an. On behalf of all the medical workers of Shaanxi Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine, he expressed his heartfelt thanks to QMES, and said that he would fully support this special social practice activity to ensure its smooth development.

Finally, Kong Jie, Dean of QMES, introduced the basic status and characteristics of QMES, as well as the remarkable achievements in talent cultivation in recent years. He expressed that QMES always encouraged students to participate in various voluntary services, such as being volunteer teacher, in which students could transfer knowledge, improve their abilities and make contribution to society. Dean Kong Jie hoped that all the volunteers would continue to carry forward the anti-epidemic spirit and the volunteerism, namelyDedication; Mutual Assistance; Fraternity and Progress”, communicate well with the students who were tutored one-on-one, and timely summarize and actively explore appropriate teaching methods, so as to develop their potentials and overcome difficulties together.

This special anti-epidemic social practiceBeing Volunteer Teachers Online was composed of 50 QMES students. In the coming winter vacation, they would provide one-on-one academic counseling for the children of the front-line medical staff of Shaanxi Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine, and strive to promote the children’s academic progress and physical and mental health, which aimed to relieve the worries of the medical staff at the anti-epidemic front line!
