In order to promote and implement the spirit of Cadre Meeting and Talent Work Meeting for the 2022 semester, QMES held a teaching affairs meeting discussing affairs on teaching archives, teaching supervision, final year project etc on September 21 in XA309, West Teaching Building of Youyi Campus, so as to continuously facilitate the Action Plan for First-class Undergraduates Education of Northwestern Polytechnical University, and further improve the quality of undergraduates education and the effectiveness of education of QMES. Conducted in a combination of online and offline forms, the meeting invited 31 teacher on both NPU and QMUL sides, including Dean Fan Xiaoli, Secretary of QMES Party Committee Dai Fuping, Vice Dean Cheng Yin, Yao Dongdong, Luan Xinguang, Liu Jianxi, Wang Jun, Zhang Juan, Li Heng, Lai Minjie, Chen Yanhui, Zheng Hongchan, Zheng Zebang, Faith Nightingale, Li Wang, etc. Qi Yue, Yang Ye and other staff from the Teaching Affairs Office also attended the meeting.

The meeting was presided over by Fan Xiaoli. Fan Xiaoli first introduced the spirit of Cadre Meeting for the new semester, and introduced the key content in the theme report of "Uphold the Strategy of Strengthening the Nation Through Human Resource Development in the New Era and Steadily Promote the High-quality Development of Personnel and Talent Work of NPU" delivered by President Wang Jinsong, as well as the work reports of the four vice presidents. Then she summarized the teaching development of QMES, provided information on the further study and academic development of the first two cohorts of QMES graduates, introduced various teaching awards set by QMES and won by the teachers, encouraging teachers from both sides to apply actively. Fan Xiaoli praised the achievements made by QMES among JEIs and appreciated all the teachers for their hard work.

The staff of Teaching Affairs Office reported the archiving and supervision work of undergraduate teaching in 2021-2022 academic year and the arrangement of final year project for the class of 2023 students. Teaching secretary Liu Kejia, reported the examination plan of teaching files of QMES and clarified the form and content of the teaching files of this semester. Laboratory Management Specialist Jing Tingting reported the progress of teaching supervision of the semester B of 2021-2022 academic year and semester A of 2022-2023 academic year. Teaching Assistant Zhang Jiayu gave detailed working procedure of final year project and the follow-up work arrangement on three phases, namely, the beginning of the project, collection of project topics and topic selection by students. QMES will serve to ensure teacher’s work in archiving teaching files, and continuously promote supervision at QMES level by giving full play to the role of teaching supervisors, so as to improve the teaching quality.

Finally, Dai Fuping expressed that the implementation of every work entails the active cooperation of all teachers, and the necessity to strengthen the sense of mission, the sense of responsibility and the sense of urgency, work with full enthusiasm and high morale to meet new challenges by considering the practical development of the school, and boost the reform of education of QMES, contributing to the construction of "double first-class” initiative for the school.

The meeting has fully arranged the key teaching affairs of this semester. QMES will continue building consensus, carrying forward the Action Plan forFirst-class Undergraduate Education, upgrading undergraduate education, deepening the reform of teaching model, giving full play to the leading role of JEI, and sparing no efforts to obtain success in international talents education.
