Fu Qiangang, a Doctor of Engineering, is the Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at NPU. His research primarily focuses on the development of antioxidative and ablation-resistant carbon-carbon composite material. He has pioneered new directions in coatings, such as nano-wire toughening, multiphase embedding, and self-healing synergistic ablation resistance, effectively addressing the high-temperature oxidation challenges in the defence applications of carbon-carbon composite material. As the second principal investigator, he has been awarded the State Natural Science Second Prize, the Ministry of Education First Prize for Technical Invention, and the Shaanxi Province Science and Technology First Prize. He has also received the Shaanxi Province Youth Science and Technology Award. With over 230 SCI-indexed papers (including more than 40 papers with impact factors greater than 5) and 39 granted patents, He has been selected for national and provincial talent programs, including the Leading Talent of Technological Innovation of Ten-Thousands Talents Program and Leading Innovative Talent of Science and Technology. His doctoral thesis has been selected as one of the top 100 excellent doctoral dissertations in China.
