The second tutor meeting of QMES was held on October 20 at Meeting Room 413, East Teaching Building A, Chang’an Campus. Vice Dean Chen Jun, Director Chen Chen of Student Affairs Office and Counsellor for Grade 2017, Deputy Director Yang Ye of Teaching Affairs Office, Lei Suyang of Teaching Affairs Office, and class tutors for Grade 2017 including Xu Tingting, Du Yuzhang, Yan Yi, Shi Xuetao and etc. joined the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Chen Jun.

The meeting raised new requirements for tutor’s work according to Sino-foreign cooperative education mode. It was emphasized that class tutors should keep close connection with Teaching Affairs Office and Student Affairs Office of the school to help students in shaping value, study and after-school life. Afterwards, Chen Jun elaborated on academic regulations of QMES from the aspects of registration requirements, assessment standarts, academic assessment, graduation and degree, score transformation and so forth.

With the great support that gained from School of Materials Science and Engineering, and School of Natural and Applied Sciences of NPU, QMES has equipped each class with excellent young teachers as their class tutors. These tutors would help students in both academicand research practice. With the tutors’ instructions and guidance, students of QMES would grow into global talents with advanced professional knowledge.
