In order to stimulate students’ interests in English learning, improve students’ English proficiency and build foundation for their internationalized capability, the second “QMEStar” English Speech Contest titling "How to lead a successfulcollegelife" was held successfully at 7 o’clock p.m. on January 11^th.

The contest was open for students from all over NPU. It was divided into preliminary, rematch and final. In preliminary and rematch, more than 300 students participated and after a month’s audition, 22 candidates were elected to advance in the final.

After judges’ appraisal,SuYi and Jin Yiyang won the first prize. Gong Zichen, Ren Jinghan, Dai Yi and Xing Yang won the second prize. Chen Zidie, Lian Yuchen, Yuan Chuhan, Yu Xingchen, Chen Yuhe, Gao Yifan won third prize. Wang Yikun, Zheng Lewei, Zhang Yueyang, Lv Jialu, Luo Yueyan, Li Yuchen, Hao Boxin, Li Wenjun, Liu Xiangjun won Excellent Prize.
