On the afternoon of December 5, 2019, the Eighth Joint Administrative Committee Meeting of QMES was held in the form of video conference in Meeting Room 413. Wan Xiaopeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of NPU and Chair of JAC hosted the meeting. Wen Wang, Vice Principal of QMUL and other JAC members from both NPU and QMUL attended the meeting.

Wan Xiaopeng, on behalf of NPU, sent congratulations to Vice Principal Wen Wang of QMUL on his election as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. Wan Xiaopeng said that since the last JAC meeting, the two universities have worked together and QMES has achieved a series of achievements. Wen Wang said that QMUL would, as always, support and cooperate with relevant departments and colleges of NPU to provide a strong synergy for the international training of students and cooperation in teaching and research.

The meeting discussed changes of the members of the JAC, the financial expenditure in 2019 (NPU side), the financial budget for 2020 (NPU side), recent teaching progress, scholarships, enrollment in 2019, summer school, ICTL activities, and recent work of the Joint Research Institute.
