On 13th September 2024, at noon, Yang Ming, Director of the External Liaison Office, accompanied by Xu Weixia, Deputy Director; Zheng Jing, Head of the Alumni Section; and Sun Weili, Head of the Fund Section, conducted a research visit to the QMES. The meeting was attended by Dai Fuping, Secretary of the QMES Party Committee and Vice Dean; Huang Quanzhang, Party Committee Organiser; as well as members of the Student Affairs Centre: Yang Fenping, Song Jiayin, Tong Miaomiao, and Wang Ruixuan. The meeting was chaired by Dai Fuping.

Initially, Yang Ming provided an overview of the NPU’s alumni and fundraising initiatives, highlighting key current activities. Given the QMES’s focus on Chinese-foreign cooperative education, Yang Ming expressed a desire to learn from the alumni engagement practices of QMUL, aiming to adapt these insights to enhance the alumni efforts of QMES. Following this, Xu Weixia and Zheng Jing facilitated discussions regarding the organisational structure of the QMES’s alumni work and the development of the alumni foundation. Dai Fuping reported on the activities of the alumni association, outlining recent plans and suggestions for enhancing alumni engagement. Finally, attendees engaged in a discussion on the establishment of mechanisms for alumni work and explored distinctive approaches to alumni engagement.
