On November 29, 2021, the 2021 Working Conference of the Shaanxi Provincial Higher Education Association and the 6thForum of Shaanxi Sino-foreign Cooperative Education was held at Chang’an University. The conference was hosted by Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education and organized by Shaanxi Higher Education Association of Sino-foreign Cooperative Education and Chang’an University. It was also supported by Professional Committee of Sino-foreign Cooperative Education of the China Education Association for International Exchange. With the theme of “New Substance Development and New Path Exploration of Sino-foreign Cooperative Education in the Post-Epidemic Era”, the conference aimed to discuss common problems and solutions in the practices of Sino-foreign Cooperative Education and promote the high-quality development of this field.
A total of 240 people attended this conference, including Liu Baoping, Deputy Director of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education; Wang Jingyao, Deputy Director of the Foreign-related Supervision and Education Office of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Ministry of Education; Tang Zhenfu, Director of Academic Exchange and Research Department of China Education Association for International Exchange; Wang Junzhe, President of Shaanxi Higher Education Association Sino-foreign Cooperative Education; Yao Congli, Vice President of the Provincial Higher Education Association; as well as the heads of more than 50 universities and Sino-foreign cooperative institutions and projects all over the country and the experts of the Professional Committee on Sino-foreign Cooperative Education. The conference was conducted both in an online and offline manner. QMES was invited to participate in this conference.
The conference commended 10 outstanding institutions and projects of Sino-foreign Cooperative Education, such as QMES and Chang’an Dublin International College of Transportation, as well as 14 experts in this field, such as Wang Zhongmin from Xi’an Jiaotong University. It was the second time for QMES to win this award.
As a representative of outstanding institutions, Dean Kong Jie was invited to make a report with the title—“Combination of the Advanced Educational Concepts of China and the UK, Construction of a New Mode of Talent Cultivation with the ‘Four Abilities’ Integration”, which was fully affirmed and recognized by the participants.
