QMES Invited Teachers from the National University Science Park to Give a Lecture about Business Incubation Policy

On April 28, 2022, QMES invited teachers from National University Science Park to give a lecture about business incubation policy. Tai Binglong,Deputy General Manager of Asset Management Co., Ltd., Gu Zhenfang,Deputy Director of National University Science Park, Zhou Ling, Head of Incubation Department, Lu Jie, Head of Maker Space, Cheng Yin, Deputy Dean of QMES, Huang Quanzhang, Secretary of the Youth League Working Committee of QMES, and student representatives of 2020 and 2021 attended the lecture. The lecture was presided over by Cheng Yin.

First of all, Deputy Dean Cheng Yin gave an introduction about the development, main measures and achievements of innovation and entrepreneurship education of QMES in recent years. At the same time, she extended a warm welcome towards the leaders and teachers of National University Science Park and hoped to strengthen communication to promote the further cultivation and incubation of innovation and entrepreneurship project and finally achieve fruitful results.

Second, Tai Binglong, Deputy General Manager of Asset Management Co., Ltd., introduced the basic situation and operation mode of National University Science Park and Asset Management Co., Ltd. He said National University Science Park welcomes teachers and students of QMES at any time, and will provide supports within its capacity to help students carry out entrepreneurship practice.

Subsequently, Gu Zhenfang, Deputy Director ofthe National University Science Park and Head of the Incubator, explained the incubation policy of National University Science Park, and thoroughly introduced the innovation and entrepreneurship policy, professional team, sound service system, maker space, incubators and projects selection process of the National University Science Park. He also explained the role of the National University Science Park through successful entrepreneurial cases of college students.

After the lecture, the keynote speakers had an in-depth exchange with the students. Yang Haocheng, student of class of 2020 showed the project on the public welfare “Song for Children in Distress” and asked the problems about the operation of the project in the long run etc. Deputy General Manager Tai Binglong suggested the key of solving these problems was to understand how much technology content can be included in the project and to find methods to make technology play an important role.

Deputy Director Gu Zhenfang added “Enthusiasm and physical investment is not enough to benefit special groups. It is necessary to use technology to mobilize more people to benefit the group. Through science and technology, public welfare and income, you can eat your cake and have it too. The power of technology will help to solve problems.”

The lecture has benefited students a lot, making them understand innovation and entrepreneurship and the difference between desire and demand. QMES hopes to further stimulate the motivation of students to focus on solving social problems, think about problems from multiple perspectives, and use advanced technology to do projects in a down-to-earth manner and make new achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship through the National University Science Park, a bridge and link connecting inside and outside the NWPU.
