In order to further strengthen the students' abilities of innovation and entrepreneurship, QMES organized the project defense and evaluation of College Students' Innovative Entrepreneurial Training Plan Program in Chang'an Campus on May 20, 2022. To ensure the high quality and smooth progress of the evaluation, QMES invited 28 teachers to serve as judges for the defense, who were from School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, School of Aeronautics, Institute of Flexible Electronics, and School of Life Sciences.
In 2022, students from QMES has applied for a total of 116 programs, including projects from School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Aeronautics, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, School of Mechanics, Civil Engineering and Architecture, Institute of Flexible Electronics, School of Life Sciences, School of Mathematics and Statistics, QMES and others. These programs have covered many cutting-edge scientific fields related to materials, with broad application prospects and high research value.
The defense involved two parts: project introduction and questions from judges. Each project team leader reported the research background, innovative points, research design and budget to the experts in detail. Subsequently, the evaluation experts put forward constructive opinions and suggestions on the feasibility, innovation and practicability of the projects as well as optimization of application documents.
Sticking to the undergraduate supervisor system, QMES has remained committed to mobilizing teachers and students in an all-round way, upgrading the innovation and entrepreneurship education mechanism of “the community of teachers and students", and developing the innovative and practical abilities and comprehensive quality of students. In the future, QMES will continue to strengthen the cultivation of key projects in accordance with the national major strategic needs, and constantly improve the influence and social value of Innovative Entrepreneurial Training Plan Programs, helping students become pacemakers of the times.
