On the morning of Oct., 12th, during the 80thAnniversary of NPU, a delegation from University of Twente, including Principal and President Thom Palstra, China Coordinator Mr. Louis Winnubst, Senior Consultant Mr. David Pho and another 5 teachers visited QMES. Vice Dean Chen Jun met the delegation in the school’s meeting room with accompany of relevant working staff of the school.
On behalf of Dean Kong Jie and QMES staff, Chen Jun extended his warm welcome to all the guests. He elaborated the school’s establishment history, teaching operation, student affairs, development plan, etc. Principal and President Thom Palstra of University of Twente introduced the university’s general background, features and educational mode.
Then, both discussed profoundly about topics concerning resources investment and international talent development in Sino-foreign cooperative education. The delegation said that since its establishment, the positive modeling effect of QMES has shown great influence and general recognition worldwide. University of Twente is one of the top universities in Netherlands. It has extensive cooperation prospect with QMES in the fields of materials science, information technology and international education.
After the meeting, accompanied by QMES staff, the delegation visited the the school’s Innovation Lab, Student Home, One-stop Office and Internet Smart Classroom. Both discussed further on learning and teaching in an internationalized environment.
