At 7:00 p.m. on December 9, 2020, Professor Wan Xiaopeng,Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of NPU, delivered an ideological and political class entitled “Remembering History, Being NPUers with Patriotism to Pursue Excellence and Lead the Future" to all of the freshmen of Cohort 2020 in QMES.

Deputy Secretary Wan Xiaopeng hoped that students would learn theFour Collections of History, understand the goal of "Two-Hundred Years" and make their own contribution to the realization of the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Then, Wan Xiaopeng took the development of China's aircraft manufacturing industry as an example and vividly illustrated the significance of adhering to the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Then, he introduced the "NPU Phenomenon" of talent cultivation by the advanced deeds of the "Chief Engineer Class" and other outstanding alumni.

At last, Deputy Secretary Wan Xiaopeng emphasized the important historical points "2035、2050". He asked students to be bold and innovative, to pay attention to all-round development, to be students of NPU in the new era, and to continue to write new glories of the “NPU Phenomenon".
