On the afternoon of May 29, 2023, QMES held a thematic educational activity of "The Last Lesson in NPU" for 2023 undergraduates in the Lecture Hall 207 of the School of Marxism. Dai Fuping, Secretary of the QMES Party Committee, made a report on the theme of "Cultivating the Feelings of Family and Country as well as Becoming Qualified NPUers" for 2023 undergraduates. Cheng Yin, Deputy Secretary of the QMES Party Committee, and all the 2023 undergraduates attended the meeting which was presided over by Cheng Yin.

May the students conclude their undergraduate life successfully and step on a new life journey. First of all, Dai Fuping led all the students to review the scene when they first came to the university in 2019. From military training to the first class, he recalled the past and expectations from the NPU President at the time of admission: "To be a man with patriotism; To be a man of perseverance and the constant pursuit of excellence; To be a man who dare and aspire to lead the future." Dai hoped that the students could study hard, make introspection, achieve their dreams, live up to the times, shoulder responsibilities bravely, and have a wonderful future.

Young students should aim high in college. Dai Fuping shared his study experience and growth with the students. He encouraged the students to explore wise approaches to success, bear the school motto of " Loyalty, Integrity, Courage and Perseverance" in mind and apply the school spirit of "Strong Preparation, Diligent Effort, Practical Attitude, and Creative Innovation" to work and study, establish lofty ideals, and strive to secure brilliance with youth.

Keep your feet on the ground. Focusing on the mission and responsibility of QMESers in the new era, Dai Fuping expected the students to grow into compound innovative talents with feelings of family and country, international vision, understanding of international rules, strong professional competitiveness and high comprehensive quality. It is hoped that the students could actively carry forward Chinese culture, spread the voice of China well, show the real China to the world, and contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. Dai’s message to the students was that the students should always have a heart full of gratitude, a down-to-earth attitude, the courage to take responsibility, a new goal and direction in their life, as well as unremitting efforts. Finally, Dai Fuping cited Secretary Li Yanrong's speech in the Party Course on the Study and Implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to encourage everyone to keep in mind a sentence — "A thing is not done until it is done well."

Graduation is a grand departure, and meanwhile, a brand new beginning. "The Last Lesson in NPU" bade tender farewell to undergraduates and helped the students know more clearly the historical mission of the times. Wish all the students set sail towards the destination in their hearts, and build a marvellous future.
