On the morning of August 17, Zhang Linjie, Associate Dean of Haide College, Ocean University of China & The University of Adelaide and her two colleagues visited QMES to conduct an investigation on the relevant work of the Sino-foreigncooperation in running schools.Vice Deans Fan Xiaoli and Cheng Yin of QMES, and Director Wu Ajing of the General Affairs Office met the guests in Meeting Room 732 of Yizi Building, Youyi Campus.
On behalf of Dean Kong Jie, Vice Dean Cheng Yin first extended a warm welcome to the guests and gave a brief introduction to the affairs of the development of Youth League branch and the Party building work. Then Vice Dean Fan Xiaoli gave a detailed explanation of the teaching work. After that, Associate Dean Zhang Linjie briefly introduced the establishment background, major settings and enrollment of Haide College.
Subsequently, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on teaching operation mechanism, academic supervision, teacher training, student innovation and entrepreneurship activities and overseas exchanges. Associate Dean Zhang Linjie expressed that since its establishment in 2016, QMES had accumulated rich practical experience in management mechanism, faculty construction and student education in the field of Sino-foreign cooperative education, which had important reference value for the development and growth of Haide College. She hoped that the two sides would continue to strengthen exchanges and jointly promote the development of the Sino-foreigncooperation in running schools.
It is reported that the Haide College of Ocean University of China is a Sino-foreign cooperative education institution established by Ocean University of China and the University of Adelaide in Australia, approved by the Ministry of Education in April 2020. Now it includes three majors: Biotechnology, Food Science and Engineering, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. 300 students will be enrolled for the first time in 2020.
