On August 26, 2020, Wan Xiaopeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of NPU gave an online lecture entitled "Draw the Power of Faith——Be the Inheritor of the Yan'an Spirit in the New Era" to all of the students of Polymer Materials and Engineering of Class One, Cohort 2018. Dean Kong Jie and relevant working staff joined the lecture.

During the lecture, Deputy Secretary Wan Xiaopeng emphasized that young students should adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, carry forward the spirit of Yan’an, remain true to the original aspiration and keep the mission firmly in mind. He encouraged students to draw the power of faith and inherit the spirit of Yan’an in the new era. Started from the geography of Yan’an, he vividly told 6 short stories to introduce the original form, formation process, significance and rich connotation of Yan’an spirit.

At the end of the lecture, Deputy Secretary Wan Xiaopeng encouraged students to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, inherit the tradition of working hard and being committed to the national defense, and serve the needs of our country. Young people should go to the place where the country needs them the most and make contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
