On September 6th, 2020, a meeting of head teachers for 2020 freshmen was held by QMES, NPU. The purpose of this meeting was to introduce the main responsibilities and work contents to these head teachers,helpthem to understand QMES and students, and make them preparedfor the next step of class construction.The meeting was held online.The meeting waspresidedbyVice Dean Cheng Yin, Counselor Huang Quanzhang and all head-teachersof 2020 freshmen attended the meeting.

First of all, Cheng introduced the basicsof QMES, the source and distribution of students of grade 2020 and the basic characteristics of them to all the head teachers,thenexpressed her gratitude to all the head teachers for their strong support in the student work of QMES.She hoped that the head teachers could work boldly, innovatebravely, and care for students, so as to affect every student through their own words and deeds, help young students establish a correct outlook on life and values, and let them quickly adapt to university life, embrace life with a positive attitude, study hard and live up to their youth.

Huang Quanzhang, Counselor of students of grade 2020, introduced the main contents and key concerns of head teachers’ work from the aspects of work plan, regular class meeting, class construction, key student work, student academic guidance, career planning, etc.Vice deanCheng made a supplementary speech on the epidemic prevention and control, students’ mental health, and students' international development.

All head teachers said that they have set up a class work group to keep close contact with students, and were planning the first class-meeting and the election of the class committee.In the future work, they will focus on students’ learning and living conditions, and strive to provide guidance and help for students.In particular, they will strengthen students’ academic guidance and personal development planning, implement various key tasks, and ensure that students can integrate into the newgroupsand adapt to university life as soon as possible, and complete all tasks successfully.
