QMES Successfully Held Faculty Exchange Meeting for the Autumn Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year

To ensure the smooth and orderly operation of teaching in the new semester and to further clarify academic standards and management requirements, QMES successfully held the faculty exchange meeting for the autumn semester of the 2025-2026 academic year on the afternoon of 5 November 2025 in Room 204, East Teaching Building A, Chang’an Campus. The meeting was chaired by Wang Yongxin, Vice Dean of QMES. Fan Xiaoli, Dean of QMES, Dai Fuping, Secretary of the QMES Party Committee, Cheng Yin, Deputy Secretary of the QMES Party Committee, and all course lecturers attended the meeting. Yang Yufei, Director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning, together with staff members, was also present.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dean Fan Xiaoli delivered the opening remarks on behalf of QMES. She gave an overview of QMES’s overall development and a detailed explanation of its supporting policies for curriculum design, teaching material development, and research on teaching reform. She also reiterated the requirements regarding classroom discipline and attendance management.

Subsequently, Vice Dean Wang Yongxin provided a detailed briefing on key aspects of teaching management. The briefing covered examination paper setting and submission standards, final examination arrangements, and the requirements for teaching document archiving. He placed particular emphasis on the quality and standards of examination papers and specified the submission deadline for this semester’s teaching documentation.

During the discussion and exchange session, participating teachers engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as enhancing teaching quality and strengthening classroom management. They actively shared their teaching experiences and reflections. Drawing on their own teaching practice, lecturers exchanged experience and approaches related to lesson design, process-oriented management, assignment marking and feedback, and classroom discipline, and also offered constructive suggestions. In addition, some teachers proposed specific improvements regarding teaching support and laboratory safety.

In his concluding remarks, Secretary Dai Fuping stated that QMES would carefully consider the suggestions put forward by the teaching staff and actively work to optimise teaching support and services. He expressed the hope that faculty members would perform their duties conscientiously, adhere strictly to teaching management regulations, and collectively contribute to the continuous improvement of QMES’s talent development quality.

The meeting set out the teaching requirements and key priorities for the new semester. QMES will continue to advance its fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, strengthen the coordination of classroom teaching, curriculum development, and management services, and contribute to the cultivation of high-quality talents with a global perspective and professional competitiveness.
