To further fulfil the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, foster a shared understanding and build consensus on student development, QMES held a themed symposium on 31 August to study and convey the guiding principles of NPU’s Student Affairs Meeting.

Xiang Dan led attendees through the full text of a speech delivered by Zhang Yunming, Secretary of the NPU Party Committee, at NPU’s Student Affairs Meeting.

In light of their respective roles and responsibilities, participants shared their views on a range of areas, including the development of the student affairs team, ideological and political education, the promotion of fine academic conduct, day-to-day student management, and collaborative efforts across the university to support student development.

All student affairs staff at QMES will take this learning and exchange as a new starting point and translate the key messages of the meeting into concrete actions to fulfil their responsibilities.
